@George23941. All good questions. I am not entirely sure what will happen. But I do know this: Everyone is welcome to stay in an independent Hawaii. It always was that way during the days of the Monarchy. And it will be in the future. The only thing that needs to be evicted is the American colonial government and its military.

I would probably feel the same if other people came into my country, invaded, took away my families land and built upon it. I would just be glad there hasn’t been much violence and murder.
But the US doesn’t have a great track record when it comes to native peoples (Native American tribes almost wiped out) but I hope they do give Hawaii back to Hawaiians.

Because of the damage that was done to the Hawaiians by the Malehini’s, or partically the United States, that’s why us Hawaiians started to hate the Malehini’s! Now they are refered as “Haoles,” which means BAD foreigner. So you cannot really blame us Hawaiians for hating Haoles, or Haoles hating Hawaiians for that matter. We are DIVIDED! Like South Africa’s Aparthaid regime! And there is one person to blame for our division: United States!

But when the Malehini’s started to take advantage of us like forcing a new Constitution upon our King, betraying us by overthrowing our government and refusing to restore it, ban the Hawaiian language and culture, taking our land away, being subjected to color racism, etc. That’s when the PAINFUL DIVISION of CONT…..
….. The American’s invading may even have been a good thing. You have a chance to get your islands back. If you ruled them as before, your lifestyle and culture may have become corrupted and all of Hawaii could have been turned into a concrete and steel metropolis. I doubt it would have though.
I would love Hawaii to be a welcoming place, where the people are one with nature again. Who greet “whites” with warmth and not hostility. Not the American state being polluted by modern society…..
….. I believe that the US should give Hawaii back to the Hawaiian peoples, I do think that they will need to maintain relations for Hawaii to be prosperous but I do not think they should be in the US.
To the Hawaiians who hate Haoles: Why do you rant and rave about it on youtube? Peacefully protest against the occupation of your country, so you may have it back again and return it to the way it was before the sprawling American highways choked your islands…..
I never usually comment on petty internet arguments, but I felt annoyed by what I have read.
First of all, I do consider it wrong that the US ILLEGALLY annexed Hawaii.
Everyone who is having a go at the “whites” for invading everyone and bringing misery to people is just wrong. There are many examples in history of non-white people invading other places. Even the old warlords of Hawaii conquered the other islands against their will and created a kingdom…..

everyone seems to focus on colors who dominate others. Seems to me it is apart of those who lost what humanity is about. Choice to do or not to do. It is in all our histories of blacks conquering whites, whites conquering blacks, whites conquering indians, asians conquering asians?? We use color as an excuse to do wrong onto others. Would anyone like to change this and move into a better future? Time will tell.
